mind and body thriving.

Listening to the homily yesterday at mass
I was struck again by how complex
we make life.
I recall times too many to name,
when I was angst filled and worn
until i discovered surrender in spirit
buoyed by trust in God
and action of my own -
sort of like swimming.
1. A twisty path, the book bricks lead
the way to mind's wandering murmurs
for a song and a story succeed
in breaking down our barriers
I dive from blazing elevations
where fiery furnace
laser liquifies my icy core
and I flow, flow, flow
vultures circle in the air,
looking down on five walled marble structure,
quoting bound books and distilled breeding
vying for more worlds to conquer.
